Wheelsure Safety Award –October 200

Wheelsure's customer, Cemex, won a Highly Commended award at the recent MPA Health & Safety Best Practice Awards with their entry based on the fitting of Wheelsure products to their entire UK aggregates fleet.

The awards, managed by the Mineral Products Association (MPA) were held in London in October 2009 and are a showcase for best practice in reducing accidents and promoting welfare in the quarrying industry.

Cemex took the decision to retro-fit their fleet to reduce the risks associated with Wheel Loss in their fleet (18 incidents in 2007) and their submission to the MPA records that “since fitting the locking device (Wheelsure), no incidents have occurred”.
